Gurugram. Parahyangan Golf Bandung has now become the first golf course in Indonesia to earn the Best New Course in Asia-Pacific title from the prestigious Asian Golf Awards.
Daniel Huang from Parahyangan Golf Bandung received the award – given for excellence in facilities and services – last Wednesday in Gurugram, India.
The award is a timely shot in the arm for Bandung's budding golf tourism.
Designed by famous golf course architect Bob Moore from US-based JMP Golf Design Group, Parahyangan's beautifully landscaped design, located between a mountain and a valley, offers an unforgettable experience and a new challenge for golf enthusiasts.
The Asian Golf Awards is one of the most reputable awards in the golf industry in Asia-Pacific. It provides an undeniable parameter for the business since the scoring process is based on in-depth surveys of the courses.
"We had to compete with other high-quality nominees for this Best New Course in Asia-Pacific award. It's sorely needed to boost the golf industry in Indonesia," the course's senior advisor George Chandra said.
Since opening in October last year, Parahyangan Golf Bandung has thrived as a Championship Golf Course. Located 650 meters above sea level on an elevated 74-hectare terrain, the course offers a beautiful vista and challenges like no other.
To enhance the golfing experience, Parahyangan Golf Bandung also offers numerous facilities including a driving range, VIP rooms, locker rooms, spa and sauna, restaurants, pro shops and close proximity to the Mason Pine Bandung hotel for accommodation.
