Pelita Harapan University Holds Cooking Competition with the Media

Tangerang. Pelita Harapan University (UPH) recently held a cooking competition with media colleagues in a bid to forge stronger partnership with the press.
The event, which took place at UPH's Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, had the press members divided into teams. The media colleagues had to prepare appetizers, main course, desserts to even beverages. A professional team from UPH also accompanied the reporters, making the competition easy for the participants regardless of their cooking skills.
Winners got to take home a prize worth tens of millions of rupiah as well as several door prizes.
UPH's rector Jonathan L Parapak and some members from the army including its spokesman Brigadier General Kristomei Sianturi and the head of general information division Agung Saptoadi.
"We wish to build the spirit of togetherness and appreciate the very important role of the media in UPH's journey," Jonathan said, commenting on the cooking competition.
UPH was founded upon and promoting true knowledge, faith in Christ and godly character. This vision is the basis for presenting higher education that is academically superior, spiritually profound, and forms a strong character. This commitment is realized through a holistic and transformative educational approach to equip students not only with knowledge, but also with life skills, leadership, and ethical values and integrity, according to Jonathan.
He also listed some of UPH's recent innovations to adapt to today's ever-changing era, including the establishment of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The university has also secured a permit to establish the faculty of dentistry. Other innovations include the opening of professional programs for teachers.
The rector also said that UPH would continue to innovate to generate graduates who are not only ready to work, but can also lead change in various fields.
"We believe that close collaboration between campuses and the media will have a positive impact on society and the nation. Thank you for the support and presence of media colleagues at today's event. May our togetherness today be an event that glorifies the name of God and together we serve and contribute to Indonesia," Jonathan said.
