Jakarta. Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto recently reunited with Wilfrida Soik, an Indonesian migrant worker who managed to escape the death penalty in Malaysia back in 2015.

Prabowo previously helped migrant worker Wilfrida Soik escape the death sentence. They both then reunited via teleconference during a pro-Prabowo supporters event in Jakarta. Prabowo asked her how she was doing.

“I’m in Atambua. … On the outskirts of Atambua, just an hour away from the city,” Wilfrida told Prabowo.

“And yes, this is my mother. I’m married now, but still have no kids,” Wilfrida said.

Prabowo then told Wilfrida that he would meet her if he visits Atambua.

“The Defense University has a polytechnic there. I often go there, but I did not know that Wilfrida was in Atambua,” Prabowo said.

Wilfrida also admitted that she now worked as a farmer.

“Didn't you use to work at a hospital back in Johor Bahru? Hopefully, you can work at a hospital again. Thank you Wilfrida,” Prabowo said.
