Prabowo Tours Subang, Serang for Presidential Campaign

Jakarta. Presidential hopeful Prabowo spent his Saturday stopping by four locations as part of his campaign.
He started off the day by attending an event in Dedi Mulyadi, the deputy chairman of the Gerindra party board, in Lembur Pakuan, Subang. Enthusiasm soared high when he arrived at the event. Prabowo also reminded the crowd to use their right to vote at the local ballot sites on Feb. 14.
“Thank you for this great opportunity. In 18 days, we will all go to the voting sites and choose the next leader. Don’t forget. This is for our future. This is for the children’s future. This is for the Indonesian population’s future,” Prabowo said.
He then went to Dawuan, Subang, for another campaign rally initiated by politician Maruarar Sirait and former Bupati regent Ruhimat. “Our farmers, and fishermen will live a better life. The same goes for the factory workers. That is what we, and I, will fight for. That is my commitment to the Indonesian people,” Prabowo said.
His next stop was a youth event in Jakarta. Prabowo told the crowd that he would carry on President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s policies. He added: “I vow to continue his [Jokowi’s] programs.”
Prabowo ended his Saturday campaign with a gathering of ulemas in Serang Banten. Islamic preacher Habib Luthfi and retired military general Dudung Abdurrachman were also in attendance.
Habib Luthfi told the crowd to not ask which presidential candidate he would pick while adding: “The answer is definitely Prabowo.”
Likewise, Dudung said Prabowo was a man who only thought of the country.
“He does not have any personal interests. He only thinks about what is best for this country. For this reason, I support Prabowo,” Dudung added.
