Roadmap to Achieve Indonesia’s Record Oil, Gas Production
Jakarta. Oil and gas resources continue to play an important role in Indonesia’s economy. In a bid to maintain its contribution to the national economy and production to continue increase, the upstream oil and gas sector has set a quite ambitious long-term target, namely achieving production of 1 million barrels of oil per day, and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day in 2030. This is a sharp increase in production if it is compared to realized oil and gas output of 746,000 barrels of oil per day, and 5.9 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day at the end of 2019.
To ensure that the 2030 target is realized, the Upstream Oil and Gas Special Task Force (SKK Migas) is organizing the 2020 International Convention on Indonesian Upstream Oil and Gas (IOG 2020).
This convention is held to embrace all stakeholders so as to have mutual understanding related to the long-term vision of SKK Migas. The commitment of the stakeholders plays important role in supporting and realizing the oil and gas upstream industry as the main pillar of development and national economy.
