Shop At Your Fingertips: Hypermart Supermarket Chains Now on Blibli

Jakarta. Retailer Matahari Putra Prima, or MPPA, is expanding its supermarket chains — Hypermart, Foodmart, Primo, and Hyfresh — to the online marketplace Blibli so that customers can shop for groceries right at their fingertips, according to an official statement on Tuesday.
Some 23 MPPA outlets in Greater Jakarta have joined Blibli. MPPA will add more stores nationally into the online platform throughout 2021.
With MPPA official stores on Blibli, customers now have more choices and assortments in purchasing fresh products, groceries, household needs at the convenience of Blibli's website and application. Fast delivery options and secure online payment choices are also available on the platform.
Having groceries delivered straight to your doorstep is also one way to keep your refrigerators stocked without needing to worry about Covid-19 transmission.
MPPA assures the same product quality, prices, and promotions offered at the company’s physical stores and their Whatsapp-based delivery service Chat & Shop, and Hypermart Online.
"The strategic partnership between Blibli and MPPA is based on our aligned mission to provide an enhanced customer experience to Indonesian customers in fulfilling their daily needs," Blibli's executive vice president Fransisca Krisantia Nugraha said.
"The partnership also marks the synergy between two industries – technology and retail – in serving and providing convenience to the market by deploying omnichannel solutions which will be the future of retail. Through the digital transformation of the retail experience, Blibli also ensures that retail activities continue amid the pandemic, which will be critical in maintaining the economy amid the new normal."
In this initial launch, shoppers can enjoy a 10 percent discount for all products with an additional cashback of 10 percent (terms and conditions applied) until Feb. 5, 2021.
Raising The Bar
Amid the pandemic, MPPA has been strengthening its Hypermart Online and Chat & Shop services, which now cover all 103 stores nationwide. The retailer has partnered with other marketplaces and on-demand daily essential delivery services with more than 170 active online stores.
MPPA also implements its halal assurance system in all business line operations and supporting functions. Last year, the Indonesian Ulema Council Assessment Agency for Food, Drug, and Cosmetics (LPPOM MUI) issued a halal certificate for MPPA. The company is the first modern retailer in Indonesia to receive the halal decree for its 150 multiformat stores, distribution centers, and head office nationwide.
