Jakarta. Link Net's cable TV and internet provider First Media will hold the First Festival 2020 at the Senayan South Parking Lot in Central Jakarta on Apr. 4-5.

The two-day event – themed "Celebrate the Togetherness" – will feature a plethora of sports and music activities including fun bike and run, esports games and concerts by some of Indonesia's biggest pop stars.

"This will be one of the largest entertainment events this year. The First Festival 2020 is a token of appreciation for our customers after 24 years in the business. We're going to hold more major events in the years ahead since that seems to be what our customers want," Link Net's chief executive, Marlo Budiman, said at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.

As sports-related events continue to grow in popularity in Jakarta, the First Festival 2020 will include a fun bike and run as well as Zumba, according to Link Net's deputy chief marketing officer, Santiwati Basuki.

In response to esports' popularity among millennials, First Media will also hold a PES 2020 football game – the official game of Euro 2020 – contest during the festival. The cable TV provider has recently launched a channel dedicated to esports as well.

Musical acts to appear in the festival include indie singer Rendy Pandugo and legendary '90s band GIGI, Santiwati said.

"We want to create an unforgettable experience for our clients. We want to know our customers better with this next chapter in our 'A Journey of Togetherness' campaign. Let's celebrate togetherness with First Media at First Festival 2020," Santiwati said.

The first day of the festival will kick off with a cycling event called "First Gowes" held in collaboration with the Brompton Fun Bike community.

This will be followed by an esports competition and then the day will be bookended with a concert by pop duo Yovie & Nuno.

The second day of the festival will be dedicated to sports enthusiasts with a fun run in three categories: 2K (for families), 5K and 10K.

Puteri Indonesia pageant winner Melanie Putria and actress Liza Natalia will also instruct a Zumba class.

Tickets for the festival are available at and Go-Tix. Concert tickets cost Rp 50,000 ($5) and fun run tickets are Rp 75,000 (with race pack included).
