Synergy to Realize Production of 1 Million Bopd and 12 Bcsfd
Jakarta. Indonesia's upstream oil and gas sector eyes an ambitious goal of 1 million barrels of oil per day and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day by 2030.
The responsibility to achieve the target falls on the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, production sharing contractors, and other stakeholders in the upstream oil and gas sectors. They need to ensure that all work programs and action plans can be properly implemented.
The stakeholders also play an important role in creating conditions conducive to investment in the upstream oil and gas sector to attract investors to invest their capital in Indonesia.
To develop synergy and collaboration among the stakeholders of the upstream oil and gas industry in a bid to achieve the 1 million bopd and 12 bscfd production target, SKK Migas will hold the 2020 International Convention on Indonesian Upstream Oil & Gas (IOG 2020) on Dec. 2-4, 2020.
The convention will be held virtually and will present Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arifin Tasrif, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani as the keynote speakers.
Several international speakers will also make presentations, among others Dave Turk (International Energy Agency), Joseph McMonigle (International Energy Forum), Stuart Payne (United Kingdom Oil and Gas Authority), and Spencer Dale (Group Chief Economist BP).
President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is scheduled to attend and open the event to the general public, both domestic and overseas.
