Telkom Launches DigiUp 2024 to Address Digital Talent Shortage in Indonesia

Jakarta. According to the Communication and Informatics Ministry, Indonesia currently needs at least 9 million digital talents to support its digital transformation. Recognizing the growing demand for digital skills, state-owned Telkom Indonesia is committed to fostering the development of the nation’s youth through the Telkom DigiUp 2024 program.
Telkom DigiUp 2024 is a global-standard digital skills certification program designed to equip young talents with the skills needed in the digital industry. Open for free to high school and vocational students across Indonesia, Telkom DigiUp offers 11 certified training programs, including Web Programmer (React JS), Cyber Security Officer, Microsoft Office Specialist (Excel), Fullstack Web Developer (Python Django), and Mobile Apps Developer (Flutter). Additionally, it features training for Internet of Things (IoT) engineers, Backend Web programmers (GoLang), UI/UX designers, digital graphic designers, digital marketing, and social media marketing.
Registration is open from October 3 to October 15, 2024, via the website telkomdigiup.info. Participants who register for Telkom DigiUp 2024 will automatically join the Telkom DigiUp Digital Community. Through this initiative, Telkom aims to enhance the digital skills of Indonesian students, preparing future workforce candidates to meet industry demands.
Hery Susanto, Senior General Manager of Telkom's Social Responsibility Center, expressed his support for Telkom DigiUp 2024, stating that as a digital telecommunications company, Telkom is fully committed to improving the quality of education in the industry.
“As we enter the third year of Telkom DigiUP, we hope to continue preparing globally competent digital talents for the advancement of Indonesia,” he said.
Telkom DigiUp 2024 exemplifies Telkom's tangible contribution to enhancing participants' employment opportunities, particularly in the digital sector. This program also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4, which focuses on quality education and skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
