The Garden and Sushi Hiro to Open at Sun Plaza Medan
Jakarta. The Garden and Sushi Hiro — two restaurant brands under F&B company Hiro Group — will soon open their first branch in Medan at Lippo-owned Sun Plaza, according to an official statement.
The announcement came after Lippo Malls Indonesia executive director Rita Yovita and Hiro Group owners Ferry and Paulus signed a partnership agreement at Sun Plaza on Thursday. Lippo Group representative Henry Riady was also present during the signing.
Shoppers will be able to visit The Garden on the LG floor, East Lobby Zone C, Sun Plaza. The 351.22 meter-square restaurant sports a green concept with an Instagrammable setting on its every corner. Whilst Sushi Hiro will open a 558.51 meter-square store at East Lobby, Block D. The restaurant will bring authentic Japanese flavors with visually attractive food presenting.
"Sun Plaza is one of the historical shopping centers for the Medan people. We have loyal customers that still frequent Sun Plaza amid the opening of new malls in the city," Rita said in her statement.
Rita pointed out consumer's tastes are changing due to technology, and thus, Sun Plaza will always bring in tenants that are on-trend. "We will bring in tenants that do not only present good quality food but also deliver a strong concept that suits the latest trends," she said.
According to Rita, the Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected shopping centers and retail.
"Even so, Lippo Malls is committed to stepping up to help the government's economic recovery with many breakthroughs. This time, our breakthrough is to bring two restaurant brands that are successful in the capital to open its first Medan store in Sun Plaza."
