Jakarta. Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) chairman Erick Thohir recently said that people should vote for Prabowo-Gibran, saying that the country would do better in the sport if they win the election.

Erick was among the high-profile guests at the Onward Indonesia concert in Deli Serdang on Wednesday.

“Who wants Indonesia to do better in football? So who should we vote for?” Erick said.

The crowd immediately screamed Prabowo’s name.

Erick then talked of Prabowo-Gibran, saying that “they have set the best example of two statesmen joining forces."

Gibran's candidacy also shows that Indonesia is now entering an era of youth.

“So North Sumatra. Can we claim a one-round victory?” Erick said.

Other guests at the event included Maruarar Sirait, Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution and his wife Kahiyang Ayu, among others. As well as senior members of the Prabowo-Gibran campaign such as Rosan Roeslani, Kaesang Pangarep, and Isyana Bagoes Oka.
