Huawei to Expedite Cloud Transformation with Six New Products
Jakarta. Shenzhen-based tech firm Huawei recently launched six new products to expedite cloud transformation for businesses, as the company sets an ambitious forecast of the global cloud adoption.
"By 2025, a hundred percent of enterprises around the globe will be utilizing cloud technology. Cloud is the future of the ICT industry and the foundation for enterprises' digital transformation. Developers are the soul of the industry," Huawei executive director Richard Yu wrote in a statement on Monday.
Among the newly introduced products is the Huawei Cloud CCE Turbo.
Huawei claimed the CCE Turbo is "the only container cluster in the industry that supports full container component offload with zero loss of server resources or performance."
The Chinese tech giant also rolled out a new programming assistant for developers. With clouded, Huawei promised a lightweight and fast programming experience that is accessible anytime, anywhere, and on any terminal.
Third, on the list is the Huawei Cloud GaussDB (for openGauss) database to help enterprises migrate their database onto the cloud. Huawei claimed the database can deliver a transaction processing capability 54 percent higher than that of similar products in the industry.
"Its complex query latency is 82 percent lower than that of similar products," the company said.
Huawei also promised a high elasticity and high availability with the new Cloud GaussDB database.
Other new products also include the Trusted Intelligent Computing Service (TICS).
As well as the Pangu Model (including the world's largest Chinese NLP model and CV model) to accelerate the introduction of AI into a wide range of industries.
Last but not least is an infrastructure software for diversified computing.
"Huawei will continue to open its technological innovation capabilities and work with developers and partners to accelerate the cloud and intelligent transformation of business," Richard said.
In addition to the product launch, Huawei announced a $20 million investment into its Huawei Developer Program 2.0. The program will include the Huawei Cloud Partner Innovation program, the Kunpeng OpenMind project, and Ascend OpenMind project.
"This rich package of support will help to continuously foster a robust ecosystem around Huawei Cloud, Kunpeng, and Ascend," Huawei said.
