Indonesian Ministers Gather for Disaster Anticipation Meeting
Jakarta. Coordinating Human Development and Cultural Affairs Minister Puan Maharani led a disaster anticipation meeting to discuss possible relief efforts for people affected by the eruption of Mount Agung in Bali on Wednesday (29/11) in Jakarta.
The meeting was also attended by Tourism Minister Arief Yahya and representatives from other related ministries.
Minister Arief said his ministry's crisis center team, the Bali Tourism Hospitality, has already come up with a three-stage relief effort strategy: emergency response, rehabilitation and normalization.
"We follow global standards recommended by UNWTO [United Nations World Tourism Organization]. We're still in the emergency response stage," Arief said.
