Jakarta. Indonesia's tallest naval vessel Bima Suci is scheduled to join the international Sail Sabang 2017, the Ministry of Tourism said on Sunday (17/09).

Bima Suci, recently launched in Spain, is Indonesia's newest training ship for the country's naval cadets.

"The presence of Bima Suci will be an additional attraction in Sail Sabang 2017," Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said.

The ship has the length of 111.20 meters, width of 13.65 meters and depth of 5.95 meters with a maximum mast height of 49 meters from the upper deck.

The vessel will be commanded by Lt. Col. Widyatmoko Baruno Aji who is set to lead the 2017 Kartika Jala Krida expedition, which will bring the ship from Spain to Indonesia.

Sail Sabang will be held in Weh Islands, Aceh, from Nov. 28 until Dec. 5. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is scheduled to attend the closing event in Pasiran, Sabang Bay.
