Jakarta. An Indonesian Air Force trainer jet has crashed while performing an aerobatic maneuver at an air show in Yogyakarta on Sunday, killing two pilots.

The South Korean-made T-50 Golden Eagle jet crashed near the air force's flight academy base near the Adi Sutjipto International Airport in Yogyakarta, Air Force chief of staff Air Marshall Agus Supriatna said.

Lt. Col. Marda Sarjono and Flight Capt. Dwi Cahyadi were both killed in the incident, reported.

"We've started evacuations and are gathering the remains of the planes," Agus said in a televised interview on Sunday.

The trainer jet was part of the air force's Gebyar Dirgantara Yogyakarta air show held over the weekend.
