2018 Indonesia Masters
Indonesia won two titles at the 2018 Indonesia Masters on Sunday (28/01) at newly reopened Istana Olahraga, or Istora, an indoor hall for sporting events at the Gelora Bung Karno complex in Senayan, South Jakarta.
Anthony Gininting defeated Japan's Kazumasa Sakai by 21-13 and 21-12 in men's singles. In the final, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo won by 11-21, 21-10 and 21-16 with China's Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen in men's doubles.
The atmosphere under Istora's roof was international and festive, especially for Indonesian fans, as every badminton game is also considered part of the country's history.
