2019 Indonesia Open Semifinal Action

Local shuttlers Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan reached the final of the 2019 Blibli Indonesia Open by defeating Japanese men's doubles pair Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi 17-21, 21-19 and 21-17 at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Jakarta on Saturday.

They will now face fellow countrymen Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, who overcame Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen of China in straight sets 21-9 and 21-13 in the other men's doubles semifinal. The Indonesian pair, affectionately known as the "Minions," recorded their ninth victory in 11 matches against their Chinese rivals.

In the women's doubles, Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota of Japan booked their place in the final by defeating Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan of China.

Akane Yamaguchi of Japan, meanwhile, eliminated defending champion and world No. 1 Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan 21-9 and 21-15 in the women's singles on Saturday. She will play against India's P.V. Sindhu in the final.
