Badminton: Indonesia Wins Three Titles at Daihatsu Masters

Indonesian men's doubles pair Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo won the Indonesia Masters 2020 title on Sunday after beating compatriots Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan at Istora Senayan in Central Jakarta. "The Minions" won in straight sets agains "The Daddies," 21-15, 21-16. The win also entrenched Kevin and Markus' world number one position, with Hendra and Ahsan in second place.
Women's doubles pair Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu also won their final after an epic rubber-set match against Maiken Frueergard and Sara Thygesen from Denmark, 18-21, 21-11, 23-21.
In the last match of the day, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting overcame early resistance from Denmark's Anders Antonsen to win the men's singles title in rubber sets, 17-21, 21-15, 21-9. This is Anthony's second victory at the Indonesia Masters. The 23-year-old also displaced Antonsen from top position in the World Tour Finals 500 ranking.
The mixed doubles title was won by China's Zheng Si Wei and Huang Ya Qiong, while Ratchanok Intanon from Thailand took away the women's singles title.
