Jakarta's oldest and biggest amusement park, Ancol Dreampark in North Jakarta, reopened on Saturday after being forced to close down for more than two months as the Covid-19 pandemic ravaged across Indonesia.
Ancol Dreampark hosts some of the capital's most famous amusement parks, including Dunia Fantasi (Dufan), Ocean Dream Samudra, SeaWorld and Allianz Ecopark.
On Saturday, only a handful of visitors braved temperature in the mid-30s Celcius and the strict Covid-19 health protocol to hop on Dufan's famous rides, such as Halilintar (roller coaster) and Bianglala (Ferris wheel).
For the time being, tickets to Ancol Dreampark can only be purchased online through the website www.ancol.com and selected ticketing apps.
