Big Brother Is Watching Jakarta MRT

NOVEMBER 30, -0001

Surveillance cameras were installed on a Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train on Thursday (07/02). Phase 1 of the long-awaited public transportation system is almost complete, with engineers testing the track almost every day. The line will eventually stretch from the old Lebak Bulus bus terminal in South Jakarta to the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in the center of the city when finished. The MRT will be integrated with other modes of public transportation, such as the LRT and the exisiting KRL Commuterline, to solve Jakarta's chronic traffic gridlock.
