Canon Launches New Flagship EOS 1D X Mark III
Canon launches its new flagship camera, the Canon EOS 1D X Mark III, in Jakarta on Friday. The DSLR is intended for professional photographers, especially those who require high-performance gear to capture high-speed moments at sporting events or extraordinary endurance in a war zone.
The EOS 1D X Mark III has a variety of new features, including an autofocus system consisting of 191 AF points capable of tracking subjects' heads and eyes and a 16-FPS Burst Mode for shooting with the viewfinder or 20 FPS for shooting with the Live View mode.
The EOS 1D X Mark III sensor has a resolution of 20.1 megapixels and is integrated with the Digic 8. image processing processor. This camera can shoot very sharp images in a low light environment since its ISO 100-102.400 sensitivity level (native) can be developed into ISO 50-819.200. Canon claims this processor has an AF processing performance that is 380 times better than the Digic 6+ chip on the EOS 1D X Mark II, its predecessor that was released four years ago.
The EOS 1D X Mark III's video capability has also been enhanced and is now capable of recording 5.5K RAW video footage internally and 4K with 60 FPS video without cropping in 10-bit 4:2:2 C-Log format.
The high-end DSLR will set you back Rp 110,000,000 ($79,000) from Datascrip, the only Canon Digital distributor in Indonesia.
