Shops, restaurants and cafes in Jakarta have been spraying their premises with disinfectant after the number of people infected with coronavirus in the country jumped to 172 on Tuesday.

Sarinah, the oldest department store in Jakarta, had personnel from the Indonesian Red Cross in full protective gear and carrying knapsack sprayers sterilizing shops, restaurants, pharmacies and its food court with disinfectant from 7 a.m.

At the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia's biggest budget airline Lion Air sterilized one of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft, wiping down every seat, window, luggage compartment and cockpit after landing and before take-off.
