Junior gymnast Averyl Baline Mattahati has been forced to practice at home during the coronavirus pandemic. The thirteen-year-old, a gold medalist on the vault at the 27th Prime International Invitation 2019 in Singapore, now trains for two hours every day guided by her coach on Zoom.
Lack of space and special equipment has been hard for Ave, who only has a chair and a simple mattress to help her train at home. Nevertheless, the teenager is undaunted.
"I'm okay with this, as long as I can train every day I will do my best," she said after another training session at home on Friday.
