Grammy-award-winning singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran, the "ginger boy from Britain," held a concert at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on Friday as part of his Divide World Tour 2019.

The highly anticipated performance was preceded by a 45-minute opening act by Japanese rock band, One Ok Rock.

As a solo performer, Ed, as he likes to be called, vowed more than 50,000 fans with renditions of his hit songs, such as "Perfect," "Photograph," "Thinking Out Loud," "Castle on the Hill" and "Shape of You."

Jakarta was the last city on his Asian tour after performing in Taoyuan, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Incheon, Osaka, Singapore and Bangkok.

The singer, who received an honorary degree from the University of Suffolk in Britain for his outstanding contribution to music, finally had a chance to greet his Indonesian fans after canceling his planned concert in Jakarta two years ago following a cycling accident in London.
