Family members and fans paid their last respect to actor, director and ethno jazz maestro Djaduk Ferianto at his Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja in Yogyakarta on Wednesday. Djaduk, the founding member of pioneering ethno jazz group Kua Etnika and the initiator of Yogyakarta's biggest jazz festival, Ngayogjazz, passed away at 2.30 a.m. local time due to an unspecified illness.

Djaduk is the younger brother of another famous artist and impersonator, Butet Kertaradjasa. His death came three days before the start of this year's Ngayogjazz. He will be buried in the family burial ground in Sembungan, south of Yogyakarta.
