Officials in hazmat suits have been stationed along Jalan Raya Pantura on the north coast of Java to check on travelers' documents and stop people from traveling to their hometowns for Idul Fitri this weekend. The exodus, which last year involved more than 30 million people, has been banned by the government to limit the spread of coronavirus, but many are flouting the restriction.
