AEON supermarket in Tangerang, Banten, which has kept itself open under the city's large-scale social restriction (PSBB) that will end on May 31, now employs security officers to walk around the supermarket armed with a bullhorn to remind shoppers to physical distance and follow the PSBB health protocol.
"I walk around the supermarket every day to warn visitors to put on their masks," AEON staff member Andriansyah said.
The supermarket limits the number of visitors who can enter the shop at any given time by handing out numbered cards. Seats in the waiting room and the queue lines at the cash registers are marked with sticky tapes to tell people where to sit and stand.
Banten province reported 18 new cases of coronavirus on May 26.
