A training center in Tangerang, one of Jakarta's satellite cities west of the capital, has been converted into a quarantine center for Covid-19 patients and suspected patients who show no symptoms of the disease.
Currently, 35 patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 are self-isolating at the center. Another 11 patients still waiting for the result of their PCR test are staying on different floors.
"We provide everyone here with hospital-standard services, including daily medical check-ups, wi-fi, cable TV and hospital-level sanitation and waste treatment," Dr. Charissa Crisdayani, the head of the medical team at the facility, said on Thursday.
The staff at the quarantine center comprise 10 doctors, 41 nurses and 77 volunteers divided into two teams.
One team works for 14 days straight before being replaced. They will self-isolate for 14 days before returning to the center.
The 92 bed-capacity center has treated 116 patients since it was opened on April 20.
