Jakarta. MatahariMall.com, the Lippo Group's online retailer, has joined forces with Indosat Ooredoo Dompetku+, an e-wallet service on Wednesday (16/03) to provide an electronic payment alternative to its customers.

Dompetku+, which also launched on the same day as an improvement on Indosat's previous Dompetku service, uses email as account identification to perform various online transactions. Most rival services like Telkomsel's Tcash or XL Axiata's XL Tunai use mobile telephone numbers as account ID.

“With Dompetku+, Indosat Ooredoo has taken the right steps in supporting and pushing Indonesia towards a digital society,” Hadi Wenas, chief executive of MatahariMall.com, said in a statement.

Under the cooperation, Dompetku+ users can now shop from the online catalog of MatahariMall.com, ranging from fashion, beauty, electronics, home, books, and grocery goods. Shoppers of MatahariMall.com can also opt for Dompetku+ as a payment method for their purchases.

He also encourages users to use Dompetku+ as it is the safest, easiest and most convenient payment option, as said in a statement.

During the promotional period, Dompetku+ users shopping at MatahariMall.com will enjoy a cashback reward of Rp 100,000, for a minimal purchase of Rp 300,000 at MatahariMall.com when they opt for Dompetku+ as their payment option.

Alexander Rusli, Indosat Ooredoo's president Director and chef executive, said he hopes the cooperation would be one of digital "breakthroughs" in line with company's vision to propagate digital services in all aspect of public daily activities.
