Jakarta. Prosecutors have seized sports cars, billions of rupiah in banknotes, and buildings from graft suspect Harvey Moeis. However, his actress wife, Sandra Dewi, is particularly upset about one specific item on the seizure list.

On Monday, Sandra demanded that prosecutors return 88 designer bags that were confiscated in the ongoing investigation against Harvey. He is accused of illegal tin mining within the state-owned tin miner Timah's areas, causing an estimated loss of Rp 300 trillion ($18.5 billion), primarily in environmental damages.

Sandra's attorney said the luxury bags belong to her and have nothing to do with the corruption scandal.

"She has expressed objection because those bags were acquired from her endorsements, and she has clarified to investigators that they didn’t come from corruption," lawyer Arthur Hedar said in Jakarta.

Arthur said Sandra is prepared to prove in court that the bags are not related to Harvey’s corruption charges.

"She has been cooperative with investigators and doesn’t mind lending those bags for the interests of the investigation. But we will prove that those bags aren’t related to the corruption case," Arthur added.

His remarks came shortly after the Attorney General’s Office handed over Harvey and his seized assets to the prosecution team as his graft trial approaches.

Prosecutors have confiscated banknotes in several currencies amounting to the equivalent of around $1.2 million, properties in 11 locations, two Ferraris, a Mercedes Benz AMG SLG GT, a Porsche, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Mini Cooper, a Lexus RX300, a Toyota Vellfire, 88 designer bags, and jewelry from Harvey.
