Government Eases Credit Access for MSMEs in 3 Million Homes Program
Pontianak. The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Ministry is facilitating credit access for small businesses to take part in the government’s 3 million homes program, strengthening their role in the national housing supply chain.
Temmy Satya Permana, the Ministry’s Deputy for Small Enterprises, said the initiative aims to connect MSME developers, small contractors, and building material suppliers with state-backed financing.
“We are continuously working to provide a clear roadmap for MSME entrepreneurs to access government-subsidized loans,” Temmy said at the Workshop on Credit Access for Housing Programs in Pontianak on Tuesday.
A total of 56 MSME entrepreneurs from the housing ecosystem participated in the event, presenting combined funding needs of Rp 152.5 billion ($9.2 million).
Temmy added that the ministry will expand similar empowerment programs in other regions to strengthen MSME involvement in the 3 million homes initiative, one of the key national priorities under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration.
“Through this workshop, we conducted one-on-one business matching sessions connecting MSME entrepreneurs with partner banks such as BRI and BTN, allowing them to directly consult on financing needs,” he said.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the National Construction Contractors Association (Gapensi), and the West Kalimantan Cooperatives and MSMEs Department.
The housing-sector MSME empowerment program was first launched on August 27, 2025, at Griya Srimahi Indah Housing Complex in Tambun, Bekasi. Similar workshops have since been held in Bogor on September 24 with 30 participants and funding needs totaling Rp 44.9 billion, and in Malang on October 7 with 56 MSMEs seeking Rp 304.5 billion in financing.
The Pontianak event was also attended by Derry Gunawan, Head of the Pontianak City Housing and Settlement Agency, who expressed support for the ministry’s initiative to expand MSME participation in national housing development.
