Govt Inaugurates LPEI’s Board Chairman and Member
Jakarta. The Finance Ministry inaugurated new members of the Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia, or LPEI’s board of directors.
The ministry’s director general of state assets, Rionald Silaban, recently inaugurated Sukatmo Padmosukarso as the chairman. Sukatmo is also the executive director of LPEI. The ceremony also saw Doddy Rahadi officially becoming a member of the board.
“The inauguration of new officials within LPEI must be used as a momentum to improve LPEI,” Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said.
LPEI – also known as the Indonesia Eximbank – also catalyzes national export transformation.
"LPEI's support must be strategic and impactful to accelerate national economic growth," Purbaya said.
According to Purbaya, LPEI’s financing focuses on increasing domestic added value and expanding the export base in priority sectors, particularly manufacturing, agro-industry, and the green economy. He highlighted the boldness of policies and the effectiveness of institutional support for halal products, from food to cosmetics.
Purbaya also said he hoped the new leadership would instill a culture of integrity, accountability, and professionalism throughout the organization.
