Prabowo Celebrates Gerindra’s 16th Anniversary
Jakarta. Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto recently celebrated the 16th anniversary of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) in his residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta.
The party, of which Prabowo is also the chair, had a small celebration with the cone-shaped rice dish tumpeng. Indonesians often serve this traditional dish when celebrating a special occasion. Gerindra deputy chairman Fadli Zon and its secretary-general Ahmad Muzani were also present.
Prabowo said he hoped Gerindra could contribute even more to Indonesia.
“If God is willing, [Gerindra] will continue to do its best for this nation and people,” Prabowo said.
