PTPP's West Residence Road in Nusantara Hits 65.85% Completion
Jakarta. State-run construction firm PTPP announced Tuesday that the construction of the West Residence road improvement in the government complex of the new political capital has reached 65.848% completion.
This meant that the company had exceeded its planned target of 60.694%, marking a 5.154% difference.
The PTPP-MWT-SBS consortium received the work commencement order on July 29, 2024. The contract was worth Rp 1.3 trillion. PTPP pledged to make sure that the construction would prioritize occupational safety standards, construction quality, and timely completion.
The West Residence Road improvement project includes the construction of integrated road infrastructure with utilities, drainage systems, pedestrian areas, and green open space development.
PTPP along with the KSO consortium also implemented various construction innovations and logistics optimization to maintain accelerated project progress amidst the high development activity in the new capital city area.
This project also provides a multiplier effect on the regional economy by creating jobs for 600 people. It also involves various partners, subcontractors, and large quantities of construction materials that support the sector's supply chain activities.
"This extraordinary road will soon be operational," East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas'ud said.
According to PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo, the speedy progress demonstrates the company's commitment to support strategic national infrastructure.
"PTPP remains committed to delivering the best construction quality. We also pledge to make sure the timely execution of the projects. We also hope that our work will provide benefits for regional development and future connectivity," said Joko.
The development also aligns with the government's efforts to encourage equitable growth across the archipelago.
