Jakarta. The wondr BrightUp Cup 2025, hosted by state lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, has delivered an engaging sportainment experience that drew strong public interest. Held on Friday, Dec. 5, at Hall A Basket Senayan in Jakarta, the event combined cross-sport exhibition matches with live music performances, reflecting BNI’s continued commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s national sports ecosystem.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the annual event underscores the bank’s consistency in supporting athletic development while offering an entertainment format designed to reach wider and more diverse audiences.

“This event not only features exhibitions by Indonesia’s top athletes but also creates an interactive space where the public can connect more closely with sports figures through a refreshing sportainment concept,” Okki said in a written statement.

This year’s edition brought together leading Indonesian badminton stars such as Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, Hendra Setiawan, and Marcus Gideon. Rising talents Raymon Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin --men’s doubles champions of the 2025 Australia Open --also joined the lineup, highlighting the event’s role in promoting future generations of athletes.

The wondr BrightUp Cup 2025 also introduced cross-sport collaborations, featuring basketball athletes Daniel Wenas and Kelly Purwanto alongside footballers Andritany Ardhiyasa and Witan Sulaeman. Their participation enriched the program’s diversity and created a more inclusive performance atmosphere.

As part of its push to expand digital adoption, BNI set up an interactive booth and offered various activities and culinary tenants utilizing the wondr by BNI payment system. The initiative aims to encourage digital transaction literacy while reinforcing the digital lifestyle ecosystem that BNI continues to develop.

The event concluded with musical performances by Silet Open Up and Juicy Luicy, adding an entertainment highlight that strengthened the wondr BrightUp Cup’s positioning as BNI’s signature annual sportainment platform.

Okki said that BNI remains committed to deepening its contribution to Indonesian sports development through collaboration and digital innovation.

“BNI will continue introducing initiatives that support sustainable growth in national sports,” he said.

Overall, the 2025 wondr BrightUp Cup reflects BNI’s dedication to building a stronger sports ecosystem, expanding the reach of its digital services, and delivering programs that enhance public engagement and appreciation for Indonesia’s athletic achievements.
