Jakarta. Pupuk Indonesia said Monday that its non-subsidized fertilizer NPK Phonska Plus had won at the recent 2026 WOW Brand Award.

NPK Phonska Plus has received the award for 4 consecutive years. The product managed to clinch another victory based on a MarkPlus survey with over 3,000 respondents nationwide. According to Pupuk Indonesia’s SVP for marketing strategy Junianto Simaremare, the award recognizes public recognition of the company’s capability in building a strong brand. It also strengthens Pupuk Indonesia’s commitment to providing quality products to support the government's national food security program.

"This demonstrates the continued level of customer trust and demonstrates that NPK Phonska Plus is a high-quality, credible product, making it the most recommended fertilizer by farmers," Junianto said.

Launched in 2016, NPK Phonska Plus is a non-subsidized fertilizer with a 15-15-15 formulation. It contains 2,000 parts per million (ppm) zinc and 9% sulfur. Pupuk Indonesia prioritizes efficient fertilization technology for optimal yields, according to Junianto.

NPK Phonska Plus also helps farmers address zinc deficiency in their farmlands. Trials held across various regions in Indonesia showed that the fertilizer could boost agricultural productivity and farmer welfare.

Pupuk Indonesia also continuously promoted the NPK Phonska Plus fertilizers, be it through farmer outreach, land trials, the mobile soil testing research facility, and exhibitions.

"We wish to encourage improved farmer welfare through abundant harvests,” Junianto said.

The 2026 WOW Brand Event -- held by MarkPlus in partnership with Marketeers -- recognized the best brands based on survey results of more than 1,000 respondents across Indonesia from December 2025 to January 2026. Assessments were based on the 5A customer journey approach (aware, appeal, ask, act, and advocate). Scores also use the brand advocacy ratio, which reflects the extent to which a brand is chosen and recommended by customers.
